Aaron La Crate Biography
Aaron LaCrate is a busy man - the NYC – based trendsetting DJ, producer, tastemaker, designer and creator of the worldwide fashion empire Milkcrate Athletics is repping hard for his hometown of Baltimore, aka Bodymore Murdaland.
LaCrate has been recognized as the trendsetter of this sound opening

LaCrate is born and bred on the mean streets of East Baltimore, grew up as a party dj and graffiiti artist cutting his teeth at Baltimore clubs, lofts, and warehouse parties and has since traveled the world pushing B-more and his music and fashion. Its easy to see why Cipha Sounds, Mark Ronson, Tim Westwood, DJ Am, and some of the biggest trendsetting dj's in the game are playing the LaCrate productions.
The LaCrate & Samir produced underground sonically crunked Spank Rock and Amanda Blank smash hit "Blow" created a new genre known as Gutter Music, "One of the most fun and original hard hitting party records of 2006" according to NME. "LaCrate and Samir are the newest production team capable of working with pop, indie rock, street, club records and keeping a very authenticsensibility"
LaCrate has been extremely busy pushing his and production partner Debonair Samirs trademark GUTTER SOUNDS worldwide - with current production for Lily Allen, Alesha (Mis-teeq), Spank Rock, Jurassic 5, Busta Rhymes, Dirty Hartz, Mark Ronson, Jim Jones, the "Bmore Club Crack" project on Koch, and 2 tracks on season 4 for HBO's "The Wire". Its a very exciting time.
LaCrate has just returned from a world tour having pioneered the Gutter Sound in Tel Aviv, Moscow, London, Paris, Berlin, Denmark, Stockholm, Japan, Bristol, Hong Kong, and will soon play London's Famous FABRIC nightclub alongside Chemical Brothers, and the QUART FESTIVAL in OSLO alongside Pharrel, Kayne West, Paul Wall, Bun B, and Depeche Mode -playing his exclusive brand of hard hitting, uptempo, bass heavy club bangers, and white label remixs to crowds in the thousands..
